Coccolina Edizioni has finally been edited.
Coccolina Edizioni was created for the purpose of contributing original didactic material that does
not follow a structuralism pattern which nowadays dominates the world of didactics for Italian as
a second language.
Coccolina Edizioni is promoted not only as an editorial house, but rather as a DIDACTIC
UPDATING AND INVESTIGATION CENTER, which through diverse theories and more modern
approaches searches for the key to making learning more interesting, entertaining and joyful
both for the student as well as for the teacher.
Coccolina Edizioni is aware of the teachers’ principal problem of their having to always teach the
same class (especially if they have different groups at the same level). That is why
Esatto! was created! It is a course that guarantees the teacher that s/he will never be bored
ever and that the same class will never have to be taught.
Coccolina Edizioni was an idea from a young teacher that has been dedicated to analyzing the
communicative approach and its most modern varieties. Therefore, we would like to ask you the
following questions:
Is it possible to think in a class where...
• As of the first moment, the language being studied is used?
• Didactic activities are performed instead of exercises disguised as “didactic activities”?
• Each student proceeds in learning according to his/her own speed, interest, motivation
and capacities?
• The teacher becomes a facilitator of the learning process and the student is at the
center of the acquiring process?
We believe that all this is possible!
Acquiring a language is difficult and it may create frustration besides causing affective filters in our
students if we do not pay attention to the natural process of learning. So, how can we avoid
these problems?
